Kola Abiola Vows to Connection Kebbi with rail if elected

If elected in the upcoming general elections, the presidential candidate for the People's Redemption Party, Adul-lafeef Kolawole Abiola, has pledged to connect Kebbi state to the Benin Republic via railroad to boost economic activity.

During the flag-off of the governorship campaign and the presentation of party flags to all of the party's candidates in Kebbi state, Mr. Abiola made the pledge in Birnin Kebbi.

He claimed that the country's insecurity, weak economy, and inaccessible education are all the result of poor governance.

To restore insecurity, the PRP will use local surveillance. In order to win the war against insecurity, community leaders must be involved in screening newcomers and determining their goals, which, given the mandate, will resolve the issue.

“The party needs State Assemblies to dismantle the fraud known as local governments joint accounts because returning power to the country's local governments will reduce crime and bring about the necessary grassroots development.

"The physically challenged and women will receive rapt attention under a PRP government because PRP intends to develop a policy that will address their needs"

While Abiola criticized the APC-led government for its failure to implement the rail line project it had promised Kebbi, he said his party still supports the project because it will boost trade and create jobs for people in Kebbi state.

Professor Attahiru Jega, the former boss of INEC, urged Nigerians to vote for credible leaders in 2023 who will find solutions to the country's many problems. He said that since power has returned to the electorates, Nigerians should get their Permanent Voters Card and should not give it to anyone for any reason.

Haruna Hazo, the presidential running mate, stated that the PRP is the only option for Nigerians who require good governance, citing insecurity, unemployment, and hunger as sufficient reasons to vote against the APC.

Abubakar Udu Idris, the PRP candidate running for governor of Kebbi state, told the people of Kebbi that his first job as governor will be to bring the state's civil service back to life by hiring productive people in all positions.

He claimed that, due to the state's glaring lack of civil service, governance in Kebbi is carried out through proxies, with a small group of individuals making unilateral decisions against millions of state residents who should have been involved in governance.

He stated that Bagudu's government's poor policy was to blame for the low production of agricultural goods because he had failed to provide farmers with farming aids like fertilizers, funds, and chemicals. He also promised to revive agriculture.
